Once an offer is accepted in Quick Quote, save the purchase as a lot. The lot keeps the collection-level record, while the cards become inventory you can work with.
The purchase total is more useful when it remains connected to the cards that made up the deal.
Allocate cost deliberately.
Vendilot allocates a purchased lot’s cost using the cards’ relative market values. When no market-value total is available, it uses an equal allocation fallback.
For a simple example, two cards valued at $80 and $20 represent 80% and 20% of a collection. A $60 purchase allocates $48 to the first card and $12 to the second. The total remains $60.
Keep the record after cards move on.
As you organize or sell the inventory, the purchase cost provides context for the recorded results. Current market value and original cost answer different questions, and both are useful.
Review the values used for allocation when you buy, especially in mixed collections or when pricing is thin. Your allocation is an operating record, not a forecast of how much each card will actually sell for.

How is a collection’s purchase cost split?
Vendilot allocates the lot cost across cards in proportion to their market values, with an equal allocation fallback when no market total is available. The allocation preserves the overall amount paid.
Does market repricing change what I paid?
No. Market value and purchase cost are separate records. A later market price update should not be treated as a change to the original purchase price.
Can I start a purchased lot from Quick Quote?
Yes. Save the accepted purchase from Quick Quote as a purchased lot so the cards and the deal remain connected.
